// Cheers to One Year//
It has been a long time since we welcomed the New Year. Everyone celebrated it differently. Our family had our annual fireworks display on our front yard and our midnight dinner. But why am I just writing about it now? It’s because I’m celebrating my year of being a high school graduate, not the welcoming of the new year.
Ever since I graduated from high school a year back, I have experienced my own roller coaster of emotions. I cried over the fact that I won’t be able to be with my high school friends every single day anymore. I jumped in joy when I got the news that I was able to get into the university that I wanted. I awkwardly smiled as I welcomed my new classmates in university. I laughed with my new friends.
It has been exactly 330 days since my life changed. But all I can say is that I enjoyed those 330 days. I learned how to change for the betterment of myself. I learned how to accept. I learned how to fight. I learned how to talk. Most of all, I learned how be me.
Cheers to one year and five days. Cheers for more great years to come.
